1.-7.7.2012: 26. Guitar Festival Mikulov (CZ) The Guitar Festival Mikulov belongs to the most significant events of its kind not only in the Czech Republic but also in the Central Europe. Its 26th year will traditionally include seminars, lectures, workshops and masterclasses. A very important part of the festival is a number of afternoon and evening concerts for general public. Therefore, the participants will have an opportunity to observe the invited tutors both during their masterclasses and live performances.
5.-11.8.2012: International guitar festival & courses Brno (CZ) 21st International Guitar Festival BRNO one of the most important guitar festival in the Central Europe. With regard to the increasing interest among guitarists and in order to offer better accommodation possibilities the festival moved after six years of editions to city of Brno.

The guitar biennial Kutna Hora 2011 has three laureates Kutná Hora 4th July 2011 – This year´s International Biennial Guitar Competition has three laureates. The first place in the category with no age limit took Eduard Leata from Romania and the second was Irena Babáčková from the Czech Republic. The third laureate is Hedvika Švendová, the winner of the category to the age of 20. Prof. Štěpán Rak was awarded for lifelong contribution to Czech guitar.
